My amazing sister Zara made this dress for her final piece in textiles, she used silk for the fabric and used a technique called ‘shibory’ to give the fabric a‘crincked’ effect. The body and strcuture of the dress is made from wire, and she weaved the shibory through. she then made the skirt and sewed that to the upper half of the dress to create a floating look.
Truly an Amazing dress, I can’t wait till she makes more. A designer in the making one to watch out for ! I want it:)
